Quick And Easy Healthy Protein Bar

Ingredients

  • 3/4 creamy nut butter
  • Pinch of salt if required
  • 1/4 cup honey or jaggery syrup
  • 1Tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1Tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/3 cup powdered chia/ flax seed powder
  • 1/2 cup of your favourite protien powder
  • 1/2 cup melted chocolate
  • Dry coconut flakes

Instructions

  • 1.In a bowl mix together the nut butter, honey, coconut oil, vanilla together until smooth
  • 2.Add in the protien powder and chia/ flax seed powder and mix well to form a dough
  • 3.If the batter feels too dry, add in 1/2 - 1 tsp melted oil
  • 4.Kneed the dough with hands and then transfer it into a tray lined with partchment paper and press into the tray.
  • 5.Melt the chocolate and pour it over the dough evenly
  • 6.Sprinkle the coconut flakes over the chocolate
  • 7.Keep the tray in the fridge for an hour until the dough hardens
  • 8.Cut into slices and store in the fridge for upto 2 weeks

Tips

  • 1.If you like a crumbly texture to the base insted of chewey, bake it in the oven for 20 mints at 160 degree celsious.
  • 2.The color of the base can be changed depending on the nut butter or protien powder that you would like to use
